Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Members of Town Council will hold the regular scheduled Town Council Meeting on Thursday the 14th of April 2022 at 6:30 pm at the Torrey Town Pavilion located at 75 E 100 No. Note the agenda may be accelerated or line items may be discussed in any order. The agenda shall be as follows:

Administrative Business

  • Welcome/ Opening Remarks
  • Roll Call
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Approval of Minutes for the March 10th, 2022, Town Council Meeting

Mayor Business

  • Grant Status
    • Eccles Grant Application for Playground – first step approved need to submit full application
    • CDBG Grant – awarded, several items to complete for final application
    • Housing – Crown Home Foundation looking for land
    • Roads – application submitted to DOT through Congressman Stewart’s office
    • Walking Paths – looking for grants
  • Mercantile Event Application
  • Torrey Post office keys for Teasdale & Bicknell so they can access if needed
  • Bicknell town would like to borrow our tractor
  • Approve public hearing for budget before May Town Council Meeting
  • Put old grader and tank truck up for bid
  • Mr. Chamberlain is retiring. He recommended Justin Wayment from Cedar City
  • Justice Court – Mr. Wayment recommended an Inter-Governmental Agreement with Wayne
  • County Justice Court as best solution for a Torrey Justice Court

Town Business

IT Report

  • Fiber has been installed in the Torrey Office
  • Purchased new printer to replace Colleen’s broken printer
  • Les Olsen printer was repaired
  • Need to purchase new folding machine

  • Got building permit quarterlies sent

  • Approved Bret Larsen for Garage and Home
  • Approved Zak Group completed his application for lighting plan and completed his building
    application
  • Approved Grace Christian Church for floor repair
  • Approved Kindred Spirits Sign
  • Approved Rob Price for Storage Shed
  • Approved Mike Wright to put new roof on shed (over counter permit)
